My name is Alice and together with my husband and our 4 children

(5, 4, 2 and 0 years old) I live in Sittard.

We started setting up a store in May 2020:

but why actually? And what else is going on?

I myself am half Italian, so we used to go to Italy (Sardinia) every year as a family for family visits.

My husband grew up in Italy (Mantua).

So we both grew up with the most delicious scents from oa

Felce Azzurra, Borotalco and Tesori d'Oriente.
The fresh scents of marsiglia, white musk and talc.

These scents remind us of our childhood and our family, so we always brought them to the Netherlands, just like my parents, when we visited family again in Italy.

LOCKDOWN

When I was pregnant with our third child, the lockdown came...

Precisely because we were going to Italy in May to replenish our stock.

After some research I noticed that these brands are very hard to come by in the Netherlands and especially online! It was either very expensive or they didn't have what I was looking for...

"WOULD NOT MORE PEOPLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?"

After contacting a few wholesalers in Italy, we started our shop.

First for family, friends and acquaintances, but already

it went on quickly. Orders came in from all over the Netherlands and Belgium!

We had our hands full with this in no time.

BACK TO WORK

In August 2020, heavenly scents.nl were doing very well. I did get a reality check when, after my maternity leave, I had to start working again, as you can read, Hemelse-geuren.nl is not our full-time job.

HOBBY

Heavenly scents.nl is actually a hobby that got out of hand. I have been working in a high school for as long as I can remember, my husband works in a shop and we also have 3 small children running around.

SOCIAL MEDIA

I didn't use much social media before I started heavenly-geuren.nl. Maybe my age plays a role in this too 😅. Fortunately, my friend Femke is a bit younger and she knows how it works. She also helps me with some customer questions and sometimes explains how social media works

2 YEARS!

We are now 2 years further and we look back on a year full of beautiful orders, sweet messages from you and a very nice growth that our company has made.

It also makes me very proud to know that in the Netherlands, Belgium and who knows where else, products from my youth are currently being introduced thanks to me!

On to many more years of heavenly scents
